Referred to as Ka Lae, meaning “the point,” this is the southernmost spot in the entire United States of America.
Getting Here:
Ka Lae is located between the 69 and 70 mile markers off Hwy. 11. Drive cautiously on this one-lane road. There are areas where you can pull over for oncoming vehicles. As you approach South Point, turn right at the fork.
* NOTE: if you turn left at the fork, you will reach a “free” parking area where you can begin your journey to Green Sands Beach.
