January is a great time to visit our volcano rainforest inn. Of course, there’s never any shortage of fun things to do. Sun, sand, great food, and friendly people make our town a vacationer’s paradise.

Here in Volcano Village, we offer three stunning Hawaii accommodation options, ranging from basic to luxury.

You’ll find our basic rooms (most suitable for solo travelers and backpackers) at our Volcano Hale location, while our Lokahi Lodge offers larger rooms with private baths. At Chalet Kilauea you’ll find luxurious rooms complete with daily housekeeping and complimentary wifi.

Which location is right for you?

For backpackers and adventurers who just need a place to rest their heads

Try Volcano Hale. Our Volcano Hale rooms are some of the best valued on the island. These rooms are nestled in the pristine Hawaiian rainforest and a short distance to the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. Volcano Hale features a total of five clean bedrooms and two shared bathrooms – perfect for budget travelers and adventurers simply looking for a comfortable place to sleep. Access to a community kitchen, free wireless internet, and beautiful rainforest views are always available.

For family vacationers in need of a little extra space

Try Lokahi Lodge. Each Lokahi Lodge room combines luxury and affordability. Also tucked away in the beautiful Hawaiian rainforest, Lokahi Lodge features 5 Standard Hotel Rooms with private bathrooms. Also included are daily housekeeping, beautiful rainforest views, and free wireless internet. Additionally, the property’s amenities include a 6-person hot tub as well as free coffee and tea.

For the lovebirds seeking a luxurious romantic getaway

Try Chalet Kilauea Hotel. This luxury property features beautifully designed rooms, and some stand-alone bungalows, inspired by the surrounding rainforest. Plus, private baths, daily housekeeping, and free wireless internet are also included. The property’s amenities include a garden gazebo, koi pond, and a 6-person hot tub. Free coffee and tea are always available when the hotel office is open.

Each Kilauea Hospitality Group property is located in the last vestiges of virgin Hawaiin rainforest (only roughly 10% remains). Since our start, we have employed eco-friendly solutions in order to preserve, cherish, and respect this great Hawaiian treasure. At our resort we:

  • Collect rainwater for our cleaning, gardening, landscaping, and aquaculture needs.
  • Refrain from using harsh chemicals that pervade the hospitality industry.
  • Employ a terry recycling program with each guest room to minimize energy usage.
  • Compost all organic waste.
  • Use recycling systems for aluminum, plastic, and glass.
